The names are not very clear on the photograph, the ladies are;Phyllis Noon, Mrs Clarke, Mrs Martin, Dorothy Smith, Mrs Doris Topley, Edna Kettle,Nora Lord, Iris Burgess, Joyce Orton, Jean Newitt, D. Davis, Doreen Spence, Maisie Newton, V. Brooks, Betty Burton.

Valerie Brooks worked at Black and Drivers from the age of fourteen shortly after leaving school. She is now 76 years old so was born in 1935, Brooks. She worked in Black and Drivers from the age of 14 to 17 years old and lived in Melton Road Barrow Upon Soar. My mum's bridesmaid is in that picture and her name at that time was Dorothy Smith and another young lady she also knows as Betty. My Mum met my dad (Kenneth Holland) at a Black & Drivers Hosiery ball held in the Loughborough town hall and they were married in the Holy Trinity Church on 12 December 1953.
